Phase 2 of the 2nd Mile project

Phase 2 is converting “the big house”, into a duplex with 2 bedrooms in each home. We have already began the demolition, thanks to the help of many amazing volunteers. In order to begin the renovation process of phase 2 we are in need of funds to continue.

The estimated cost for Phase 2 in $60,000.00

Please consider supporting The 2nd Mile program, we need your help to complete this project and move more families in to a home and off the street. Please consider financially supporting The 2nd Mile program, with as generous a gift as possible, donating materials or volunteering to help work on the renovation team. M28 Ministries Inc. a 501c3 non-profit organization making your gift tax deductible. You can also help by connecting us with your church, a business or civic organization where we can share the need with others and help them catch the vision of The 2nd Mile where "together we can make a difference"

The 2nd Mile's purpose is to help homeless families get back on their feet by giving them rent free temporary housing until they can secure permanent, sustainable housing. We believe it is very important for families to stay together but that is often difficult because of the lack of facilities to house homeless families together in the Lawton/Fort Sill community. The 2nd Mile program allows the family to stay together in one of our three 2 bed room homes, (first house complete and occupied March 2015, phase 2  underway) while they work their way through their circumstances and get back on their feet.
